LARW Luncheon Hightlights and Announcements.
Dear LARW Members and Friends,LARW President Sharon Gossett called the October meeting to order. Deanne Sowder gave the Invocation and Judge Judy Parker led us in the Pledges of Allegiance. Jane Cansino was asked to read the names of the officers nominated by the Nominating Committee for 2008. A vote was called to accept the slate unchanged and passed unanimously by those in attendance.

Cansino also wished to remind members that membership renewals are due November 01, 2007.
President Gossett announced that the Awards Committee is accepting applications for LARW's 2007 Annual Awards. Please call the person you would like to nominate for information and send the completed forms to Barbara Sucsy before November 01, 2008. Ballots with nominees in each category will be distributed at the November meeting and voted on by the attendees present. The winners will be announced at the December meeting. All active members are encouraged to nominate a candidate of your choice in each category.
LCRP Chairman John Steinmetz needs volunteers to help man the Republican Headquarters starting in January 2008. John also requested volunteers for Precinct Chairs. If you are interested in volunteering please contact John Steinmetz at

LARW would like to thank our special guest speaker TFRW President Borah Van Dormolen. Van Dormolen spoke on several key issues and stressed the importance of Republicans joining together in order to insure Republican Candidates success both Nationally and Statewide for the 2008 elections.

· LARW annual memberships ($30) and associate memberships ($20) for 2008 are due by November 1st. Please take a moment to mail your annual dues to LARW P.O. Box 6315 Lubbock, Texas 79493. (Mega thanks to our members and associate members who have already sent in their 2008 membership dues.)
